Mr. Larry Earl Stott, Sr., the son of Anna Mae Dixon of Henderson, Kentucky and Ira L. Stott, Sr. of Basket, Kentucky, was born February 2, 1949 in Henderson, Kentucky.
Larry, along with his family, moved to Indianapolis, Indiana at a young age. He attended the public schools and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School.
Larry started working for a big major company in Indianapolis, Indiana called Inland Container. Later he moved on to work for the city of Indianapolis (DPW) where he retired.
Larry Earl Stott, Sr. was the definition of S.T.O.T.T PERIOD! He was the protector of the family. He loved to sing, dance, do imitations of James Brown, loved to party, and ride bikes. He loved to dress, and for certain– he was a ladies' man. Our dad taught his children how to fish and make own fishing poles, he was the best fisherman ever. Dad also was the king of Chess, and Mr. Larry really knew he was the best cook. Daddy believed in family staying together and never go against your own kind. He always said, “Don’t be nobody's fool!” With his laughter and smiles and companionship, he was really loved by so many.
Larry professed his love for Christ at a later age, where he was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost at Mount Bethel Church under the teaching of Bishop James Townsend, Sr.
